The Mountain Lakes Area Branch of AAUW provides Local Scholarships for women students in higher education. Deadline for Scholarship application and materials is April 1, 2024 (see details below).

Applicants for the Branch scholarship must meet the following requirements:

• • Female legal resident of Morris County or enrolled at a college located in Morris County.
  • Completion of sophomore year at an accredited college or university or matriculation in a Master’s program by June 2024.

  • Motivation
  • Goals

The Scholarship Committee puts primary emphasis on economic need. At least one scholarship is reserved for a mature woman returning to college to complete her degree.

At various times during the year, AAUW’s national Educational Foundation offers Fellowship and Grant programs, with deadlines falling in different months of the year, including American Fellowships, Career Development Grants, County Action Grants, Selected Professional Fellowships, and University Scholar-in-Residence.
